Born in Victoria, Australia, in 1987, Katie originally competed in show jumping and spent most of her final high school year in Europe, also attending the 2004 Athens Olympic Games as a groom, before making the change to rodeo. Instantly falling in love with the sport, Katie has competed in barrel racing, breakaway roping, steer undecorating, team penning and Australian event, camp drafting.
